Canada Goldenrod Essential Oil (Solidago Canadensis) ☸ Essential oils ☸ Base / General


Goldenrod Essential Oil is obviously one of monoterpenes. It is said to have a gentle detoxifying and diuretic effect which has benefits in supporting the urinary tract and skin.
Goldenrod Essential Oil blends particularly well with herbaceous, coniferous and citrus essential oils. Also blends well with Ravintsara, Peru Balsam, Rosemary, Pine, Ginger, spruce and spice oils.
Solidago Canadensis is a tall, perennial plant with small golden flowers that grows abundantly in the wild. It belongs to the Asteraceae plant family and is native to regions of North America, particularly Canada. Most of the Goldenrod Essential Oil that I have found from reputable sellers is sourced from Canada.

In cosmetic and aromatherapy products (creams, lotions, gels, oil blends), Arnica extract is used for bruising, bruising, swelling, burns, acne, insect bites and skin damage. Used in joint and muscle massages and rubs for active sports and for the elderly. Arnica extract is also used in oral care products, mouth rinses and toothpastes.
Arnica CO2 extract has a positive effect on hair and can therefore be used in hair care products up to 1-2%.

Consistency: Thick liquid or semi-soft solid
Strength of Initial Aroma: Bland aroma of honey without being sweet. It doesn't have a flowery smell, but a very pleasant pine- and sage-like odor.
The CO2 extraction process typically requires that the plant material is dried prior to extraction to produce the most superior extract. CO2-soluble lipophilic components present in Arnica and up to 5% sesquiterpene lactones, triterpenediol esters plus trace amounts of essential oil, waxes and resins. After production, the Arnica Flower CO2 extract Total is blended with 70% organic Sunflower oil.
In its natural state, Arnica CO2 Total is a soft semi-liquid at room temperature, but during winter or cold storage conditions, it may become solid. Recommended dilution (1%) due to high concentration of active constituents.
The dark brown Arnica extract with a specific aroma has a wide range of effective aromatherapeutic and cosmetic properties, and accelerates cell renewal in the case of bruises, contusions, swellings and skin irritations.

Strength of Initial Aroma: Watery, strong, with a pleasant licorice or anise aroma. Anise Myrtle is far fresher, a little stronger and purer in its Aniseed aroma than regular Aniseed essential oils.

Aniseed Myrtle is a rare Australian tree from the rainforest which has a very aromatic leaf and is considered to have an aroma true to genuine aniseed. The leaf from cultivated plantations is used as a bushfood spice and is distilled in very small quantities for its essential oil and is known in the trade as Aniseed Myrtle or Anise Myrtle. In Australia it is known as Ringwood or the Aniseed Tree. Ringwood’s natural distribution in the wild is restricted to the Nambucca and Bellinger Valleys in the subtropics of New South Wales.

This Essential Oil is beneficial for the digestive system and can help to combat constipation, diarrhea, flatulence and stomach cramps. It can also be useful in winter for colds and flu.
Safety Information: Bitter Orange Essential Oil is phototoxic. The reaction occurs when the Essential Oil on the skin is “activated” by the light. It can cause blistering, burning and even discoloration of the skin. Recommends a dermal maximum of 1.25% to avoid risk of phototoxic reaction. Avoid using Bitter Orange Oil that has oxidized due to a greater risk of skin sensitization.

Ocimum Americanum, known as American basil, lime basil, or hoary basil, is a species of annual herb in the family Lamiaceae. Despite the misleading name, it is native to Africa, the Indian Subcontinent, China, and Southeast Asia. The species is naturalized in Queensland, Christmas Island, and parts of tropical America.
Traditionally, these Ocimum species have been extensively utilized in food and perfumery industries. The aerial parts of the plants are considered as antispasmodic, stomachic and carminative in native medicine.
These volatile oils have been applied in perfumery, to inhibit growth of microorganisms, in food preservation and in aromatherapy.
