DESCRIPTION / INSTRUCTIONS

The First Chakra is also called "The Root Chakra", or “Mūlādhāra”. It is located at the base of the spine, and is linked to our survival instincts (fight or flight) and our ability to ground ourselves in the physical world.

The Muladhara Chakra is located at the spinal column, in the groin area or perineum: the area between the sex organs and the anus.

The Muladhara or Root Chakra is associated with fulfillment of basic needs, physical survival and safety.

It is also related to the sense of belonging - belonging to a clan, tribe, ethnic group or some other group. Within the body, the Root Chakra is closely affiliated with structure, bones, nervous system, adrenals and the sense of smell.

The Root is about our first experiences and becoming aware of ourselves as separate from the world around us or the ages zero to three.

Some say this is the seat of our ego. The First Chakra color is red. The element associated with the firstthree Chakras (lower Chakras) is Earth.

The color red is said to represent courage, passion, and loyalty. It is also the color of the spectrum most available to the eye. The essential oils closely associated with the Root Chakra tend to be made of heavier molecules, and are characterized as base notes, which are deeper, slowly unfolding, long lasting scents.

The Base Chakra can then spin correctly, creating energy and prana as a foundation for the rest of our Chakras to utilize.

These oils help to awaken the coiled Kundalini - the creative energy with in us all.

Put these mix oils (about 4 drops) in an amber or cobalt blue 10ml glass bottle and fill the the remainder of the bottle with a carrier oil (Jojoba, Almond, Marula). Cover and shake gently to integrate the oils.

Use for inhalation. Or anoint yourself or rub into the souls of the feet. After 6 month this mixture can smell better than first day, it depends how long we take a time to mix all ingredients together.

Essential oil needs a time, and they will show us those real qualities. Depending on the situation or intention, many other essential oils may be appropriate or even more relevant than these classic Root Chakra essential oils.
