Rosmarinus officinalis, commonly known as rosemary, is a woody, perennial herb with fragrant, evergreen, needle-like leaves and white, pink, purple, or blue flowers, native to the Mediterranean region. Rosemary belongs to the Lamiaceae, commonly known as the mint family.  Rosemary grows to a height and spread of 3 feet. Pale blue flowers bloom in spring to early summer. The needle-shaped evergreen leaves are highly aromatic.

Rosemary is a wonderful tonic, particularly to the heart, brain and nervous system.
